Student Assistant (m/f/d, 20hrs/week)

The California State University, International Programs (CSUIP), located at the International Office of the University of Tübingen, is seeking applications for a Student Assistant position.

Position Details

  • Start Date: March 1, 2025
  • Duration: preferably two years
  • Hours: approx. 20 hours per week
  • Preferred Qualifications: Enrollment in a Master’s or Ph.D. program at the University of Tübingen

Responsibilities
The Student Assistant will work closely with CSU students to support their academic experience and facilitate their social integration while studying at participating universities in Baden-Württemberg. Key duties include:

  • Organizing and independently managing social, academic, and cultural orientation programs and events
  • Supporting students with their academic and social needs
  • Updating and maintaining print materials, web-based content, and reports

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent intercultural communication abilities
  • A team-oriented and student-centered approach, with a high level of energy, flexibility, and intercultural understanding
  • Proficiency in English and German (fluency preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and web-based programs
  • Experience living and working in a cross-cultural environment
