CIVIS enables students and doctoral candidates to gain international experience. To this end, the alliance partners offer various course and mobility formats: from short-term stays to entire semesters abroad, from seminars face-to-face in the classroom to hybrid and online events. Micro-programme ‘Global Awareness’: Apply now!

The CIVIS alliance allows Bachelor and Master students additional places for Erasmus exchange for one or two semesters. The application for an Erasmus exchange in the framework of CIVIS is the same as for the regular Erasmus exchange.
Whether online only or with short joint stays at one of the partner universities, students of the CIVIS alliance have access to a wide range of courses. Further information on content and application procedures can be found in the CIVIS course catalogue.
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) consist of a series of online classes combined with a one-week attendance phase at a CIVIS university. They are offered in different subjects. In a micro-programme, you can take courses from different CIVIS partners and combine them to create a certificate. Students of the University of Tübingen can currently take the CIVIS micro-programmes Civic Engagement and Global Awareness.
To enable joint learning and teaching within the CIVIS Alliance, the Foreign Language Center offers courses in languages of the CIVIS universities. An overview of the language courses, from Modern Greek to Swedish, can be found on thewebsite of the Foreign Language Center.
CIVIS supports extra-curricular activities and initiatives by CIVIS students. These student-led projects can focus on topics related to civic engagement, student academic and cultural events or the promotion of the European identity and values. They should aim to create a way through which students, academics and local actors can cooperate and follow a transdisciplinary approach for developing innovative and inclusive initiatives to drive societal change.
